Roger, I had a good friend who owned one of these. The sound it captured and reproduced was amazing, and the comparison to a Stradivarius is an apt one. When his coastal home burned to the ground, it was not his most expensive possession that he lost, but the one he felt most badly about given the rarity of its ability to rate a 10 on musical reproduction from a radio signal.

This is the Stradivarius of tuners and should only be tuned to KDFC for classical music. My musical taste aside the tuner sounds and plays beautifully, however there is a background hum which may be due to a tube or aerial issue. I am a music guy not a gear-head so this is the best assessment that I can offer. Price $2800
