FOR SALE: VIKING ACOUSTICS BERLIN 1887 HORN SPEAKERS, $4,750 or best offer
These hand-crafted horns are highly recommended for low-wattage SET amps, but can also come alive with higher powered solid state and tubed push-pull amplification. I have used them with both over the past four years. I am selling them because I want to go to single driver, crossover-less speakers.
They are named for Emil Berliner who invented the flat phonograph disc and a method for their production. The Kenji- like branding on the horns and backs are actually a phonograph.
The speakers are rated at 97dB sensitivity and are 8 ohms. They measure 49" high (including adjustable spike footers)
X 14" wide X 17" depth.
Audition in Sonoma and local pick-up or delivery is preferred.
